Originally from Canada, Laura is a Wellington, New Zealand-based entrepreneur, author, and stand-up comedian.

She performs regularly around Wellington and is a popular MC as well as a stand-up.

She debuted her first solo show in March 2022 at the New Zealand Fringe Festival. Featuring some strong opinions, “How to Cook a Kiwi: Laura Bruce’s N to Z of Aotearoa” brought stand-up to the television cooking programme!

After emigrating to New Zealand in 2019, Laura began to perform comedy regularly and in December 2020 she was voted “Newcomer of the Year – South Island” by members of the New Zealand Comedy Guild.
