Described on TV2’s Comedy Jam in 2011 as “the Michael Buble of NZ Comedy”, Clayts’ observational humour strikes a relatable and charismatic chord with a wide range of audiences. Having performed solo shows in the New Zealand and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals from 2009 up until 2014, Clayts took a break from the comedy circuit until 2022 to raise a young family, and more importantly, to gather material from them. He’s based in Christchurch now as a veteran elder of the South island comedy scene, but the Classic is always home.
