Te Radar celebrates the bumblers and the near-do-wells who personify the ‘she’ll be right’ spirit that epitomises New Zealand’s history. It’s the history that history tried to forget.

Thursday 23rd May: Antarcticana (2012)
Hilarious true tales from the frozen South! Antarcticana is an illustrated comedic lecture on all things Antarctic. Te Radar explores the land that Capt. Robert Scott called ‘This Awful Place’. The show may also shatter any illusions you had about the innocence of penguins, proving that what we think we know about Antarctica is just the tip of the iceberg.
Friday 24th May: Intoxicana (2022)
A trip into New Zealand’s befuddling history of drugs and alcohol. Did 1940s New Zealand really have the highest per capita rate of heroin usage in the world? Was it illegal to shout someone a drink? These untold stories of intoxicating substances confirm that our history is completely out of it!
2022 Excellence award Dunedin Fringe Festival
Saturday 25th May: Cookbookery! (2024)
Te Radar’s brand new show debuted at 2023’s Wellington on a Plate, where it was performed to accompany a six course degustation under the title Crumbed Tongues and Tall Tales. Te Radar has sampled a century and a half of New Zealand cookbooks to find the tastiest and most hilarious morsels. No food will be served in this set menu of delectable comedy delights, but you’ll probably be glad of that.
